Layout as directed on pattern.
Make sure with silks or other similar fabrics to block it. I usually do this by snipping the very top edge only 1/2 inch (this is the edge they cut in the store – not the machine finished edge). Then tear it across. Now you have a strait edge. Use this to line it up on a fold. I like to pin the edges together and iron the center fold to make sure it doesnt shift.
The pin holes dont show on my fabric so I can use pins.
Vintage patterns are not printed on and do not include seam allowance on the pattern pieces, so you have to add your seam allowance when cutting.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
