This is a 1930’s suit ensemble. The skirt is based on a BurdaStyle pattern, it is bias cut which is typical for the 30’s, while the jacket is completely self-drafted. It’s made from a striped dark blue wool with synthetic blend, the jacket is lined with a dark blue viscose. The skirt is buttoned up with hooks and two self-covered buttons, the jacket is buttoned up with four buttons. In addition I sewed in two red pockets into the jacket. Since this is my first tailored jacket, I’m pretty sure there are some tailoring rules that I have omitted, but one learns with each sewn garment, right?
