Description

I made this dress using a pattern from a sewing magazine from 1929!
Normally, I mostly draft my own patterns and tend toward a 1950’s style silhouette but I wanted to branch out a bit and experiment with the looks of different eras in fashion history.
I’m really pleased with this party dress from the 1920’s.

More about it, including more pictures, on my blog

Material Notes

black viscose crepe, part of a necklace (for the decoration at front and back)

Great dress! I love the reference to the ’20’s, and yet so modern!
