Description

A historically accurate (as possible) set of stays (early corset) made for the underneath of an 18th century French court ghost costume for a Halloween show. Based off Butterick 4254.
I had to use zip ties because I cannot get steel boning where I live and did not have time to wait for it to come in the mail. For next stays I will use smaller grommets (also unavailable) and steel bones.

Stays will be worn by me in upcoming Halloween production.

Material Notes

Cotton, drapery cotton lining, heavy duty interfacing, zip tie boning, grommets.

Very creative to use zip ties. Makes me wonder what ther items around the house could be used as stays. . . Beautiful corset! You should be pleased!
