Description

I LOVE my husband in breeches. But I must admit, breeches are quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever sewn (toss up between them and the cat bed). I made this suit for English Country dance. It consists of a linen skirt, vest, coat, and breeches. I wish I had used stiffer interfacing on the coat fronts because the buttons are heavy and pull it open. Oh well! I used the JP Ryan Breeches pattern and a Butterick pattern for everything else.

Material Notes

Stretch summer weight wool suiting (97% wool 3% lycra), gold braid, and thread.
