Description
I made this project for my last year of 4-H in 2012 and this year my cousin took photo’s of me in it for her photography project in 4-H. Its a 1890’s swimsuit from McCalls pattern 9402 in a size 14. I’m so excited about showing off this project, it was really fun to make and was pretty simple to put together. Also, I’m so proud of my little cousin for taking these photos!
The pattern had four pieces, the romper, the overskirt, the modesty bib and the belt and here is the description of it from the pattern: Authentic 1890 bathing suit is today’s Jumpsuit and Short Skirt. Sailor collared Jumpsuit, middy braid trimmed, zips up front, has snap-out “modesty” bib. Middy braid trimmed overskirt gathered at side, zippered and pleated at center back.
Material Notes
A polka Dot cotton poly blend was used as the main material for both the romper and skirt, white grosgrain ribbon was used for all the trim. The belt was interfaced.

Everything is beautiful here: the pattern, the work, the fabric, the model and the pictures. On mono-chromic pictures you really look as if from that period of time. Very stylish displaying:)
