i translated (poorly translated) this french pattern from a copy of a la mode illustree that i purchased. it is a formal dress for a 8-10 year old. i didn’t realize it at first, but the front pink panel is suppose to be wider and pleated. the dress is from 1883 and the underskirt is based on a pattern from the fifties. i didn’t have enough pink satin for the big victorian skirt.
correction the pattern is from 1883.

id be interested in seeing the original! I really like the details, especially on the back, and its nice that you have it over a 50’s skirt instead. might be more versatile then?
