Pull facing over garment, with right sides together, and pin together along armhole edges. At centre front and centre back, pin slash lines together, from upper edges to marking. At zip opening, turn ends of facing back, approx. 5 mm (3/16 in) before marked seam line, and pin to armhole. At opening edges, turn dress allowances to outside and pin in place, over facing. Stitch along armhole edges. At centre front and centre back, stitch closely around slash line stitching horizontally at bottom end. Slash between lines of stitching and clip diagonally into bottom corners. At armhole edges, trim seam allowances and clip curves several times. Turn facing to inside. Press edges. Baste upper facing edges in place. Sew facing to zip tapes and to right side seam.
