Step 9 Facing strips
Fold facing strips for sleeves in half lengthwise and press. Turn in one end of each strip. Working from right side, stitch doubled strip to lower edge of sleeve so that fold edge of strip lies on garment piece, 1.5 cm (5/8 in) wide, and open end of strip lies on turned-under end. Turn strips to inside. Sew inside edges in place by hand.
