Don’t make the same mistake as i did. I made it from crêpe chiffon but lined it with a wool crêpe. I looks like the dress for my grandma, no shape. I think only very soft fabrics are ok.

I’m working on this one right now. I’m glad I’m not the only one confused with the neck band instruction. :p

I made this dress tonight, in size 10 from a thin cotton, it puffed up like a giant bag when i put it on and appears more suited to wear as a nightie :S Was testing the pattern before I cut into my more expensive fabric and I’m not sure if the disasterous result was due to me or the fabric?
Also, the instructions regarding attaching the collar are very confusing and I had to work out my own way to attach it :(

cotton would behave like you described, I think this must be a clingy, flowy fabric

i completly agree. i do not understand the instructions for the collar…not in italian, not in english. i will do it my way, but that is not the point…how did you do it?

I attached the lower end of the outher parts of front and back collar to the main front and back parts of the dress accordingly, only stitching as long, as the main parts go. Then attached the inner collar at the top, and stitched the bottom from the end to the start of the main part( which is already attached to the outer collar part to this same point- do not overlap or leave a gap there. I didn’t quite follow the instructions that tells you to fold the inner collar side allowances etc. I simply pressed the collar parts and inserted front collar parts (which was folded inward, right sides out, like the finished look) from the main parts side- into the back collar tubes, which are still wrong side out with visible stitches. Then I just stitched across, trimmed the excess fabric and pulled back though the main parts openings. Then I folded the inner collar back and hand stitched it in place on the inside.

I also had trouble putting the pattern together as some parts scaling was off ( especially the bottom and the middle of the tie -the lines didn’t meet and it looked like the tie bottom is 3 sizes larger, I had to adjust it myself)

i finished the dress yesterday. i sewed neck parts face to face, then sew them on the wrong side of the dress, turn them out, iron them and topstich. i am happy with the result, it looks nicely finishied, altoughtit it it not as it is in magazaine. i’m pretty dissapointed with the instructions+with the pattern, because all the parts did not match. i skiped the bow, because i did not like it in the first place. i will upload photos later

You can buy from this site. All you have to do is press “Add to cart” and then go to the top of the site to “Shopping cart” and do as if you were to buy from any other site on the internet.
All you have to do then is print the pattern yourself OR in a shop.
And then you’re ready to get going. Good luck :)
