Press allowances on slit edges of bodice backs and skirt backs to inside. Work from the outside to pin open zip to edges of bodice and skirt backs so that zip teeth meet slit edges. Leave zip extending at end of slit. Close zip. Pin zip over centre seam below slit. Turn in bottom ends of zip tapes. Fold top ends of zip tapes over neck edge, under seam allowances of back opening edges. Baste zip in place. Use the zipper foot of your sewing machine to stitch halves of zip in place, close to zip teeth and along edges of zip tapes.
Trousers, blazers, and blouses in cool neutrals have model-off-duty style.
