This is a skirt I designed and drafted in college for Volcom for a junior year project.
Since then, it’s been tweaked and refined a bit, and I decided to test it out with a few different materials.
First in beige wool, which puts more emphasis on the form of the skirt (styled with the Sorbetto tank in silk), then in lambskin+wool (styled with the JJ blouse in chiffon). As you can see, mixing fabrics gives a much more dramatic effect in this case.
I think I’ve retired this pattern for now-it brings back too many memories of sleepless nights and Projec Runway-esque nightmares!
drapey stretch wool-blend, lambskin, lightweight wool.
