I love this top! I love it so much, I bought it last night. It looks better on the model than the mannequin because the ties are tied too tightly on the mannequin.
At the beginning of the year, I bought 6 yards (a ton) of Slub Rayon Knit. It was left unopened for some reason until the beginning of the summer, a delightful surprise for myself. I’ve made a few garments, but nothing as cute as this. So, I’m making it today (on my birthday) hopefully for wearing to my family birthday BBQ next weekend.
Anyways, I’ve got a few tips so far,, I didn’t have any Stay Tape on hand, but I did have long scraps of interfacing. So, I cut it into 1/2" strips and it works just as well :) Also, I had been having trouble cutting such lightweight and stretchy fabric; I’ve never been able to cut a decent pattern from the stuff! So, I started using pattern weights, and I can’t even believe the difference. All you need is just a few small books, river rocks, buddha statues and no pin holes in your new shirt!
So, you can be looking for my finished project soon! :D
