The downloadable instructions are exactly identical to the instructions you can view on the site and they are both for this project.
We will look over the instructions to see if we can edit them to be a bit more clear, however.

IGNORE the downloadable instructions! Use the ones online. The downloadable ones are for a completely different jacket! The ones you can access by clicking on the instruction tab seem to be fairly straight forward and sensible, though they do lack illustrations.

Love the jacket, but the instructions are woefully inadequate and appear to have been written for a different pattern altogether. The numbers & letters on the list of pattern pieces don’t correspond with the numbers on the pieces themselves, the instructions refer to pockets and pocket flaps, which are not part of the pattern at all, etc. There are also some mysterious lines on a couple of the pattern pieces which seem important, but are not labeled on the pieces or addressed in the instructions at all. I wouldn’t recommend downloading this one unless you feel like doing a lot of puzzle solving.

I completely agree. The instructions are shocking and I’m still trying to work them out. I should actually be grateful that there are any instructions at all, since a lot of the patterns on here don’t have any. I making it first from muslim just in case I mess it up.
