Fold pockets at centre so that pleat lines meet, right side facing in. Stitch each pleat from upper edge to arrow mark and baste below mark. Unfold pockets. Press pleats. Undo basting. Baste pleats to upper and lower edges of pockets. Lay self-facing on upper edge of each pocket to inside and stitch 2.5 cm (1 in) from fold. Press remaining pocket allowances to wrong side. Topstitch close to side pocket opening edges of lower pockets, then topstitch again 1 cm (3/8 in) from edges. Stitch pockets to fronts at placement lines.
