Step 4 Upper edge
On upper edge, trim allowance to 1 cm (3/8 in). Pin lace trim to upper edge so that scalloped edge of trim lies on garment piece, 5 mm (3/16 in) past seam line. Stitch lace trim in place, 5 mm (3/16 in) from fabric edge. Turn allowance to inside – scalloped edge of lace extends. Topstitch close to upper edge of garment.
