In the notes for this pattern it says that it requires two zips—I’m not wild about putting in zips, but can do it when I need to. Where are the zips and are they both really necessary? I’m big into Mod style and sometimes find the new versions a little easier to follow than vintage patterns , but if it means a lot of extra work I might look for something different.

Hi,
It does have two zippers, one along the side seam and one on the left shoulder. This is necessary for this style since there will be no way to get the dress over the head otherwise. An option is to remove the shoulder seam zipper and add a little slit with a button in the center back but that might require more work in terms of binding for the slit edges etc.
Best,

This is the reason I bought this edition of the mag. I tried this in blue corduroy. I found the neckline way too high, the yoke very short and for some reason all the skirt pieces came out different lengths. Anyhow its more 70’s pottery teacher than futuristic moody chick and I love it!
