Here is my tote bag. This was my first weaving project – I made it during Christmas break two years ago. One of my friends had a woven bag from Ecuador which I used as my inspiration.
Yarn and string
I found a tutorial online on how to do simple weaving and my dad helped me build my loom.
The bag is made of 4 pieces.
One large piece that makes up the front, back and flap. Then there is the strap and 2 small pieces for sides.
I used a crochet hock to connect them all together.

Are you kidding me? Woven by yourself .. that’s somehow really cool. I never knew that you can do it at home. You made me curious …

I went to South America last year and saw a bunch of bags like that— didn’t manage to snag one for myself, but I really liked the look. You definitely got the look of that, and I love that you wove it yourself!

you are definitely an inspiration, i think it’s amazing that you did the weaving yourself and made your own loom. i can only hope to be so self sufficient!
