This fall marked the beginning of my 4th year in New Jersey; I figured I should show some NJ pride so I bought this wonderful navy-blue wool baseball cap. Recently it became too cold to not have something covering my ears. Solution? Wool earflaps.
I used a pair of navy wool trousers that I bought at a thrift store for the wool. I braided yarn for the ties.
The flaps are stitched on in such a way to be easily removed next spring.
Wool and yarn.

So nice! A few years ago, I fell in love with this look when the Rays went to the World Series in 2008. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2008/10/br-r-r-aseball.html
Ear flaps are the best. You did a great job!
