Description

This is my book bag. I needed a new bag for school and because I’ve been into making rather than buying I thought I’de try making a back pack.

I wasn’t sure untill it was done if it would work – but I’m really happy with it.

It has one big compartment, a pocket from my computer, a smaller pocket on the front and a pocket on each side. The back is padded and so are the straps.

Material Notes

Canvas, flannel, some foam, and hardware - $20-25 worth of stuff. (if you count the needles I broke maybe like $30-35.)

Credits

No real pattern – however I used a scaled ruler to make a scaled down drawing so I’d know how to cut the pieces.

Wow! How come I overlooked this? I was thinking about making my own backpack now as well… this makes me think it’s not only possible, it’s almost inevitable. :-)

What an amazing backpack! I think that is a little more advanced than my abilities now (as I just got my sewing machine about an hour ago), but this is definitely something I’d love to make a good attempt at making..! Thank you so much for posting it.
