Hello Zyanya..I loved your off green vintage and I was wondering if you give for free or sell the pattern!!!THANKS

Hi I don’t have pattern for it but I can tell you how I made it.
I used Burda blouse pattern 122 from 11/2008.
i got rid of the front buttons. and sewed an A-line skirt to the bottom part under the bust. And change the sleeves to elbow length. I put a zip in the side under the arm.
Hope that helps :)

argh, I just typed you this whole explination, just to deleat it. drat. and when i read it… well it just sounded more difficult then it was. how about this deal… i will give you my email and if you want, i will MAIL you my pattern. it is based off of an american dress form size 8. 36" bust, 27" waist, 37" hip. if you want, i will snail mail the draft, you can sew it and give me feed back. i will even give you the guidelines for stripes…
what are your thoughts?

ahhhhh i didn’t mean to mark that as in appropiate, i just wanted to comment back!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh. I just wanted to say that you can do the same dress with the principal you just used, making a seam down the front!!! ahhhh. I will get that removed!!! that is SOOOOO not what i wanted to click on!
you can totally do stripes!!! Especially seeing what you did in one day! all you have to do for the pattern is draft your same dress with a seam down one side (princess seam) and then when you are cutting your fabric match up your stripes! the front area is a bit different, but with a slit, opening up the neck line and adding a ribbon inclosed to cinch in the neck…. YOU HAVE THE DRESS! You can totally do it and you just did, without stripes! I feel so honored that you liked it so much and then I go and mark you an inappropiate…. oh i fee so ashamed!

ahhh you are too sweet. really its ok about the inappropriate thingy :)
the only thing i dont quite understand is this: is the top part of the bodice like a normal shape (neckline and shoulders) and you have added the collar onto that. so the actual neckline is really lower than it appears as the ribbon ties it up higher. OR is it like a tube with no shoulder seams just more like arm holes cut in the sides..? you see this baffled me a little as i can see how either way might work but then just decided to do what i did.

Hi! thanks for your comment on the boxers. I could try to make a pattern for it, but they are still not perfect. as you can see at the picture, they all are different, and the last ones were the best ones. my boyfriend loves them all, luckily! ;-) the big surprise was, that even though he is very skinny and with a tiny bum, you’ve got to make them pretty big. -or high waisted, is maybe more acurate. good luck!

Love your creations and your bee on the wall analogy made me laugh – I would also consider myself a bee on the wall. I think your so clever the way you don’t always use a pattern – thats what I aspire to do, just see something I like that inspires me and then come home and just whip it up on my sewing machine. Don’t you just love Burda WOF magazines – its just a pity that we’re always a few months behind on this side of the world!
