Great Job on doing the quilt!!!! On the serger, the biggest tip is making sure that thread is seated into all the thread guides, especially where it sets in the tension guides. Make sure when changing to I own sergers with 5 to 8 thread holders. Although a retired sales rep (use to sell jello etc) sew for the family, charity and friends not for profit. Been using serger/overlocks for 55 years, grandparents were tailors had some that held 15 spools of thread and looked like ship masts. Wishing you the best on your sewing ventures and career goals. So right! I’m so glad I got the brother, I’ve heard horror stories about threading other sergers. In fact, I think I’ve got it down because I had to rethread the dang thing so many times (the thread kept getting tangled on the spools and breaking- user error not the machine). Thanks for the support :)

Hai, I really love your simplisity-dress, and I’ve seen the pattern at a webshop and I really love it but my question is: Is it difficult to make? I would like to know!!!!!!!!!! Floooo

Well, I don’t know about difficult, just complicated. There’s no bust darts on the bodice- it’s shaped by a series of pleats and darts running across the whole top. Same thing with the skirt- pleating and gathers mixed together. But as long as you can make sense of the directions its no big deal :) I recommend it. One thing I can say is that I did a size 8 and it ran a little big on me- see if you can go by the finished measurements (if there are any on the envelope)
