Hello taffetasilk! Just wanted to take a minute and say thank you for the kind words on Gwendolyn’s Medieval Dress. Gwendolyn was pleased with the outcome and is looking for the next event so she can wear it again. Again, THANKS!

Hi, thanks for your comments :) I got the boning from a local habadashery, its like a really stiff ridged plastic and you can buy it by the metre.

Hi Taffeta, thanks for the comment on my dress. I used Rigilene boning. That’s just the plastic/nylon one and apparently the cheapest. But also the only one available here in the backwaters of South Africa!

Hi taffeta! Thank you on the sweet comment you made on my burgundy dress. And no, I didn’t use a pattern for this one. I do that often. I design something, I take the measures and I cut/sew. Sometimes it is hard work and I have had some nightmarish experiences :) However, the experience one gets is priceless.

Hi there, thank you for the nice comment on my leg-of-mutton top and polkadot Kasia! I really like the sleeves too, and it turned out that they were not as difficult as I’ve imagined :)
