Hi Susanne! How are you settling in Perth? You probably don’t have your machines yet but if you are interested I have posted our December and January BSC meets, we’d love you to come along and since we meet at Sandra’s studio you can borrow one of her machines. But I’ll be honest, we don’t get a lot of sewing done usually, lots of gossip and sewing magazines instead :) Anyway, if you like you can check out the meet times here: http://burdastyleclubs.ning.com/events I am off home to NZ for Xmas so I won’t be there but I’ll be back for Febs met so I look forward to meeting you then! :) Mel xx

Hi Mel!
Yes, would be happy to attend the meetings. Indeed, still don’t have my machines here, will have to wait until mid Jan for that :(
I’ll come to the one in February, when you are there too! Could you let me know when you guys have set a date for Feb?
Have a great time in NZ! And see you in Feb.
Susanne

Oh goodie! You’ll have a great time and make some instant new friends I am sure xx
I think Febs meet will probably be Saturday 12th, just waiting to hear from Sandra as she is doing a tailoring course and as soon as she knows the 2011 dates for that we can organise around it. I will post it up near the end of January. If you join up to the ning site I will add you as a friend so you get an instant invite when it is done.
Thanks xx

thats a pity :(
Just added you as my friend. I am new to Copenhagen. I was hoping I can make friends with you. Maybe you could help a bit with finding affordable supplies here.
I know you must be excited to leave… I know what the weather has been like lately. Have fun preparing :)

Hi!
Yes, sorry, forgot to reply to you! Indeed, I am going to move to Australia in a few months time. But there are a couple more girls on this website that are from Copenhagen!
About fabric, I often buy it at Ikea or at Stof 2000, there are a couple of stores in Copenhagen. Their fabric is nice and relatively cheap!
Good luck and I hope you will enjoy Copenhagen!

I just saw your status, how exciting! Are you still coming to Perth? :)
Feb 18, 2010, 08.18 AMby susanne2011
Yes! We (My boyfriend & I) will be moving to Perth in September and will stay for 2.5 years, until Feb 2013. Right now we’re applying for a visa, looking for plane tickets, thinking of how to ship all our stuff etc etc, quite a lot of work! But I am really looking forward to the move, and living in a warmer country for a while, I am really fed up with the snow over here!
When I get in Perth, maybe I’ll come and check out the Perth BSC! Probably have to get a car first though….
:)

Oh how exciting for you :) Well after you are settled and you need some sewing buddies our club is going really well and we’d be happy to welcome a new member :) Best of luck with your move (I know how stressy it can be, I moved here from NZ 5 years ago and I’ll probably be heading home again in 2 or 3 more years) talk soon

Groetjes! steffi

Hi Susanne,
Thanks for your message and your nice comments about my project. It must be very frustrating to not be able to post comments, hopefully the BurdaTeam will sort you out soon……but in the meantime don’t quit the website, it’s always nice to see your creations, your clutch bag and circle skirt (the black and white one) are especially cool.
happy Sewing.
Cheers Candy

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my Grey Cowl-dress :-)! I’m glad I caught it in the activites, it doesn’t show on the project, my sympathy to you that BS still haven’t solved the problems with your profile! I hope they do soon, it must be so annoying (I’m annoyed enough that I can’t add a website to my profile and that’s minor, really…).

Hi Susanne, I received your email – thanks for noticing me. Your theory makes sense to me. I hope you’re able to read the wall posts we’ve been writing you. And I hope the BS team will fix the problem you have soon. Keep well, Ana

Hi Susanne, thanks for commenting on my Hikaru jacket, I’m overwhealmed with everyone’s positive comments :) you must be going to hear about your research fellowship soon, best of luck. Our little BSC group has really taken off, I hope you can make it over and come sew with us :)

Suzanne, I have written another “request” to the team to get off their butts and do something. For what little good it is doing. What are they doing, playing “Mafia Wars” on Facebook? I will keep trying. Nehmah/emily.

Hello Suzanne, I just read your “Is it working now?” comment in the right-hand side bar, but it does not show up on the Discussion you started. Today is September 15, 2009 @ 2:29 US/GMT – 6/Copenhagen is 9:29 PM/GMT +1. I will post a message at the Discussion page, when you see it, try to respond, OK? If you need information, just ask, and I will try to help. I do not work for BS, I just don’t like being yanked around. Cordially, Nehmah

Susanna, Have you had any reply from the Team regarding your missing purchases? If not, or unsatisfactory, please PM and I will help you out, “Sorta”. Cordially, Nehmah

Hi Nehmah!
Thanks so much for your help! I haven’t heard anything from the Burda team yet, but it was weekend, so I guess they were not working. It is a bit frustrating not to be able to communicate with everyone here, I am even doubting that I will be able to reply to you…..
I’ll just wait for a bit longer, hopefully the Burda team will get round to helping me.
I really appreciate your help! So glad to see that someone is taking my problem serious!
Susanne

Hey there! Thanks so much for your comment, and yes my tattoo is of a fly, and gets me all kinds of weird questions and people smacking my wrist and saying “oh i got it!” as if that is funny…

Hi Susanne, I remember you contacting me about moving to Perth. Well with a bit of work these last few weeks the Perth BurdaStyle club is most definitely up and running, run by myself (Melissa) and another member Sewanista (Sandra), we even have a first meet time and date set. Yay. Please feel free to join us at our page HERE so you can keep tabs on how we are going. I have been messaging other members who have their locations set as Perth but have had no responses yet :( but that’s ok, we are charging ahead and hopefully we have a lot of fun and grow fast. I look forward to meeting in the future :) Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Perth and I will try to help you out :)

susanne! help!

:) xx
