Klasse!!!

Hi, Ilse!!! I was just at my blog answering to you! ;-) I am sorry that I kept it “a secret”, but since it’s in Russian I didn’t think anyone would be interested! ;-) I know how horrible mechanical translations can be! (I work as an interpreter, so trust me! ;-)) If you find something that you would want to know more about after you read the translation – just e-mail me and I will write that passage to you in English. It’s a pity you had to deal with your account being gone like that! I mean, Burda has had some problems lately, but that sounds like nothing I’ve heard before! I’m glad it’s back, though, and I’ll be looking forward to your projects as well! :-)

I posted this as a reply to your message on my wall first, but then decided to delete that one and post here – I don’t know about you, but I don’t get any activity and I didn’t know if you’d see this posted on my wall. ;-) Hopefully, you’ll see this one! ;-)

Hi llse! Danke für deinen Kommentar. ‘Figure’ heißt das gleiche wie Figur?

Well…. It depends on what the fabric is, of course, but maybe a suit or a top and skirt combo (if the fabric is light-weight)?

oh, it’s neither heavy nor light, its something like wool for a winter dress and its very soft, a little bit too soft, like knit, but it is no knit.A top and skirt Combo may be possible …
It must be an interesting pattern or a combination with a bright color like deep purple …
      thank you for your idea!

Thank you so much for the compliments on my tunics. I am glad you’ve taken sewing and knitting again. I love it too although I am not so good at knitting. Everyone tells me its easier than crocheting but I just cant get the hang of it well enough. Cant wait to see what u make with your New Old patterns from ebay.

oh, these old patterns … I’ve got lots of vintage patterns in my size or not too far away from that, and my heart is bleeding for sewing! But since last November I got a full-time-job and there is only few time left to sew or to knit!
But I’m happy to have that job, it’s good to earn some money.

Hi Strickmeise! :-) Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my ‘oldfahioned dress!! You will check this pattern on you own? That’s great… I also made a test sample out of Jersey: The effect was amazing because the jersey sample lost its size totally… the dress came out two sizes bigger, allthought I cut it just like the other dress out of stretch satin. I think this pattern might fit you very well!

      Dear Almatinka,
sorry for the late answer, there is so much to do!
No, the sixth grandchild is not coming yet, but they are trying. My daughter is still breastfeeding Dora, it’s not the time to become pregnant, only to plan it.
Hope very much I get my work done soon (clearing my Mom’s apartment), I miss sewing! Now I have a big bunch of bed-sheets and I can make tryouts to alter patterns.
Oh, before I forget: thank you very much for your thoughts about “Manfred”, they make me to have a better opinion for that name.
Have a nice time and not too much to do for Christmas.

I am sorry you have your hands full, but at the same time I am glad you got those sheet and I am looking forward to when you are able to sew again – I love love love your creations!

I don’t know whether the fifth grandchild will be a boy or a girl, but I am sure the kid will be loved either way!!! :-)

By the way, don’t worry about not responding at once – I myself not always have time for immediate answers, so it’s not a problem.

thank you for the nice words, I’m really happy that my friends feel with me. Maybe the sixth one is coming, too, but I don’t know right now, I’ll have to wait! My grandchild Bela (nearly 3 years old) would like to name his little brother “Manfred” because a friend of his grandpa, a digger-driver is called so.
Bela wants his little baby brother to be a digger driver. Manfred is so old-fashioned!

Sorry I didn’t reply to this at once – with the sickness and then excitement about the serger my thoughts are anywhere but in my head!!! :-);-):-)

I am really glad to hear about your grandchildren and I wish your thoughts about the sixth one are true! As for Manfred – the name might be old-fashioned, but I still love it! I don’t know the origin, but it always sounds to me like “man-friend”, as in “friend of men/people”. My Mom’s name is Lyudmila from Russian “lyudyam mila” that means “kind/sweet to people”, so Manfred had always been one of my favourite names, whether digger-drivers are involved or not…. :-):-);-)

Thank you so much! I really love this site, its such a great way to find and learn about new ideas and get support for your projects! In the last two years I have learned so much from the burda people and know that I can go nuts with my designs and not be berated wildly(which is the case at the moment with my costume on others sites). People on here appreciate the time and thought put into things, and not just a fancy picture or some nice fabric, and although those are good it never beats a great work!
