Hi! Yes, I’m currently obsessed with the perfect basic bodice. Maybe a bit too obsessed :) Unfortunately I have too little time to sew at the moment, but I made a sort of final version of my bodice and have started to make my first blouse with it…but it will take some time yet before it’s finished. I’ll hopefully get around to writing more posts soon and want to include some helpful tips about what I learned too. Ahh, yes and Norway, going back there soon :)

Hello there, Loved looking at your studio. I have a collection of ideas in a folder- BUT I keep getting other ideas and work on those first ! I lately tried ( again after many years ) reverse applique. Now I must make another cushion as I like them in pairs ! Strange but don’t seem so enthusiastic about the 2nd ! Also had some leftover wool from an Aran sweater I knitted in the winter and think I have enough to make a waistcoat – so started that last night. I do hope I have enough wool ……..

Thanks for your kind comments. I know what you mean about men’s shirts, although I guessed the size to use (and had to use my poor housemate as a manequin!) and sewed the sleeve on wrong a wopping 3 times… so pretty tasking in the end! I think you’re right though and next time would be a lot less stress!

actually, my wedding dress didn’t take as long as i expected. if you add all the time together, it was maybe a week…..stretched out to about 5 months.
i think that you’ll find your raspberry dress really versatile. i made one out of brown micro suede and i love it!

You should upload it your version to your creations! I couldn’t find it there and I’d really like to see it :)

unfortunately i gave it away to one of my friends that FELL IN LOVE with it (enough that she stole it from me several times).
though i do have enough fabric (similar color, different print) to make another one…..

Stephiaffi! Nice to read from you! Always nice to catch up with your creations too! I am really busy, on top of it my camera got stolen and My computer crashed 6 months ago. I have been lent one to use Microsoft words to complete my thesis by this December I purchased a cover stitch machine as consolation. I really need basics long sleeves t-shirts-could you believe the washing machine has been out of order, but this problem should be fixed this week-end. So many sewing projects on hold…. :( What are you doing for a living? I am going to watch Michael Hanneke’White Ribbon’ this week-end, I am looking forward to it!
Keep well XXX

Steffiaffi, I’m sorry but I cannot open the how-to’s on my hard drive. Like everything from the old site, we can’t get it back. This situation is pathetic. I do still have the screen print version of Lesley if it could be of use to you. Nehmah-with a very red face!

HI stephiaffi I just wanted to say thanks for your complement on my Nadine jacket. I’d highly recommend the plus side mods for that pattern. It was actually pretty fun to start cutting up some one else’s pattern. :) And really the only fiddly bit is putting on all the loops for the buttons. The rest of the jacket was really fun to sew.

Hi there, it was very nice to see that each of the new creations I clicked on to take a peak at this morning were all yours!! You’ve been busy, and it’s kind of nice to see what you’ve been doing over the last few months, all at once. There’s a lot of work in the clothes you’ve made, and they are very wearable. Well done! :-)

Hello! Thanks for your nice comment on my “Oxford Outfit” :D I agree, it’s a bit old-fashioned, but I love that :D Maybe do it as far as the instructions will bring you and maybe you can figure out the rest by yourself (once you check how it all works and which parts is which part it is not so difficult) or ask someone in the forum or ask me, but I’m not sure if I’ll remember ;) Maybe you could check on another jacket-instruction, because sometimes the steps are nearly the same. Good luck with your outfit, I’m curious how it turns out!
