How have you been? How is your green dress going? : ) I haven’t been sewing nothing special these days. I’d like to sew something, but I’m always slow to act. Sewing is fun but sometimes tough to do.Human feeling is kind of strange but intresting.

Hello Rikamekko, thank you I’m fine. I finished the dress Friday last week in order to wear it to a wedding the day after ;-). I don’t have Pictures yet but will post it during the following weeks. I know what you mean, there are so many other things to do and organize in life, but we need to take the time for sewing as it creates a lot of joy. Hoping you will find some time and motivation soon. :) Take care

Hi,I read your status, you did most annoying part : )Good job! I’m also not good at that work.I think time of using sewing machine is not much thinking a whole taken time of making a clothes. There are lots of secure steps isn’t it.Such as ironing when stitched one part.

Hi, yes you are right. I really don’t like copying the pattern to paper. That’s why I made my batwing shirt, I wanted to do a really fast project :-). Kind regards

Will Look forward to seeing your Blumarine after the picture taken, Burda Mag in this area only comes out a few times a year, call me lazy I go to a local fabric store when Burda patterns on sale, they have the seam allowances included and directions in English.

I download a few of the free patterns but if I see something similar on sale will just buy the whole pattern, less expensive time saver, printing & taping all the pages. Although I know how to draft patterns I basically only do it for very special clothing. LOL I am retired and do not have the time, doing too many favors for others.

Best Regards to you, from Ohio!!!!

Couple of free patterns that work well:

http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/thank-you-angela-kane (does not have to have high neck, chic)

http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/1-piece-kimono-tee (also do a dress and left slit or opening in sleeve)

Very proud of you keep up the great work, Hugs Patti

Thanks for sharing these links. It’s great to have so many easy patterns. In the Burda magazines are also some nice easy patterns to find. Hope to find as much time as I would like to have for sewing. This week I had some days off and a lot of spare time to fill with sewing :-). One more dress which I have not posted yet, but I need a photographer for that one, it’s another Blumarine wrap dress.

      Best regards from Germany

Simple is the best way to start, your skills will develop in time. Although I choose to list myself as Intermediate, do not sew for a living, really have expertise in certain aspects of custom tailoring, using overlocks/sergers and sewing machines. I enjoy helping others.

So if you get stuck in the future, send me a message.
