  Hi from Bulgaria, well I still have not finished the dress that I cut out, I have been so busy doing other jobs.

  When we came to Bulgaria we were running our place as a hotel but have now closed it down because of my husbands health and it was too much for me to do my myself.

  It is a lot better we can do what we want to, without having to worry about customers and hope this year to see a lot more of Bulgaria. Sine the snow has gone I have been doing lots of work in the garden, I planted 20 rose bushes and have started off a lot of flower seeds to put in as well. I have loads of marigolds that are dong well and the other seeds are just starting to come through now, so hopefully they will survive and can also go out. In the kitchen garden I am growing onions and my herbs are that side as well. Also have cut all the grass and we have loads of it, the way the weather is with sun and rain it is growing like anything.

  Bad luck about your seeds dying, keep trying I am sure you will win, you can never count on the weather !!!!

  Today we have been in the cellar which is huge and getting he small wood pieces ready for the winter this year, these are good for starting the furnace off which is wood burning and runs all the radiators in the house, so now we are all prepared.

  I have got to get down to the sewing side of things it is just finding the time when tere are other things that have to be done as well.

  Hi,

  I bet you are really glad that you have got your own area now for your sewing and with all the gear, it certainly makes thing a lot easier. Well I have actually cut out a dress pattern and I am in the process of making it, but at the moment keep on getting side tracked. We have had snow for several weeks and now it has actually cleared up and the sun has appeared. So I have been taking the opportunity to tidy up the garden up after the bad weather, have been planting roses and have started off lots of seeds for the colorful smaller plants. When I have finished in the garden, it will be definitely back to the sewing. Are you backing anything at the moment ? I am going to make several dresses for the lovely weather it looks like we are going to have.

  Guess what, we went shopping today. About an hour after we got back my delivery of material came, a new chair for Dave my husband and a giant goodie bag of all different things that we bought while we were over in England. We have spent all afternoon setting the chair up, it is one of those massage ones and we are very pleased with it. So I have got to get down to it now and get cracking now I have got the material, I will just have to sort out what I think will be the right material for the patterns , so I will definitely be busy. Just looked out the window it has started snowing !!!!!!!!!

  Hi, back from our visit to England. Had a great time but the time went by so quickly. We went to Birmingham and after visiting family etc, went to buy fabrics in Birmingham centre.

  Our son and his wife took us and it was like walking into Aladdins cave, we all had a great time in this fabric warehouse . Glad to say I have bought a lot of lovely fabrics and had great fun picking them all out.

  The next day we took all the fabric and some other things to a courier that is gong to bring them over to Bulgaria.

  My husband Dave has kindly bought me two work tables and I have all my sewing things ready awaiting the delivery of the fabrics.

  We moved to Bulgaria to get away from the rat race in England. We live in a lovely village just outside Veliko Tarnovo and we started a hotel, renting two apartments that we have in our house. Due to my husbands ill health, we are no longer going to run the hotel and just aim to enjoy ourselves and do what we want to do.

  Lovely to hear that you married and have started a new life in America.

  I am English and moved to Bulgaria nearly three years ago, what made you move to America ?

    I moved here for love :) to get married to my half :) who has been living here for several years.
    What made you move to Bulgaria? Usually it’s the other way around :) work I suppose? :)
