Hi! Some of us thought it would be fun to get all Bay Area sewists together and plan something fun. I created a meet-up for us to put some events together. If you’re interested, join here: http://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Sewists/

Hi SmallOne, thanks for the nice comment on my jacket! Making that jacket was such a fun, and I’d recommend you to make it. The raglan sleeves really make it easy to sew – no issues with sleeve heads, armscye, ease and other problems sleeves can cause. Also, I’m glad the instructions are clear, I was worried about that – whether the photos depict all the details, whether my English is good enough to describe all steps, etc.

Hi SmallOne. Oooh, thank you so much for your nice words, you’re always so supportive. The column in the magazine really is a dream job to me – I have to do what i like the most, and to write about it. At first I didn’t want to brag about it too much, ‘cause I couldn’t believe it really happened. Now that I’m sure I am not dreaming, I wanted to share my joy with you guys :)! Keep well, Ana

Thank you for your nice comment. I don’t think I’ll change anything on the dress, as my mother has tried to make some darts, but they didn’t look good. Happy sewing!

Thank you for the kind words. There are so many amazing vintage textiles out there. It’s really fun to repurpose them and bring them to life once again. I’m glad you found Harwood’s work, a great artist should be appreciated! Thanks again.

thanks so much for your nice comment on my sherpa baby booties, im really glad you thought they looked “perfectly executed” haha. that’s the goal, anyways!! They did turn out really tiny even though the pattern was supposed to be size 0-6 months, I have my doubts as to whether her feet will come out that small. We shall see!! thanks again, Krista
