Hi! Congratulations on being featured member and thanks for including one of my projects among your favourites, I’m honored :-). I really like your creations, the Hippy Hooray!-dress is fabulous, and I’m impressed by your progress since the first party-skirt (my first Burdastyle-project was a party skirt too), wow!

Hi! This may seem weird, but let me start by saying I would love to learn how to sew clothes. I’ve sewn quilts and such before, but never clothes. I saw you featured and hoped maybe I could come to you for questions, seeing as you look kind of experienced. I have a question. How does one go about resizing a pattern to wear?

Hi! I’m afraid as I don’t really use patterns I can’t say that I know how to grade one.
I wish you the best of luck with your sewing. I encourage you to take a good look around this site, it is very useful and everyone is very friendly!

I love your projects, especially the dresses. They are amazing. I want to thank you because you have inspired me in doing “la sac dress” (it’s like infinity dress). Thank you

Hello! Thanks so much for leaving the comment on my up-cycled jeans. I actually had a long time on placing the pieces much more than sewing. Check out an additional photo here if you’d feel like! http://yoshimitheflyingsquirrel.blogspot.com/2010/03/jean-upcycled.html

Hello! You are very welcome, your dress is fab. So glad you like my creations! The single ladies one is quite new, I only finished it last week. I was suprised how well it turned out too! Maybe it’s a sign that I’m getting better at this sewing lark! I think it’s one of my favourites after my Love Party Dress x

Thanks for your comment on my dress! The hem is done by having a short tube inside the long tube on the outside. Sew the 2 together at the bottom and join at the top which then gives you the bubble hem! Dx

Hey :-) First sorry for my late answer… I think you can definitely insert a zipper – next time I’ll also do it (I’m very talented in losing things ;-) ). Have a nice week, jenny.

yes, a zipper would be the way to go on the itty bitty, especially if making it into a makeup bag or coin purse. i may add on or do another how-to for putting a zipper in. good luck with yours, cant wait to see it:)

Thanks for your lovely comment! Zipper on the back would be a great idea, I’ll try it on my next T-shirt dress ;)
