Men’s Clothing, know you can do that, I just do not like making men’s dress shirts, when I can get find a good sale for husband just not worth my time.
Although I have advanced sewing skills, education and have been trained in many aspects (No one knows or likes it all), of sewing I even taught few classes, chose to do it as a hobby, rather than my professional career.
Enjoy helping others, who really want to learn, some of the basics do not change. Respect others opinions even if I may not totally agree.
You do a great job of helping others, you are so thoughtful and have given many members great advice. I am very proud of you.
Well time to go, have a great day!!! Enjoy talking to you!!

Hello Stephanie,
I agree that the camera rarely captures the beauty of velvets and fabrics with shine. Your velvets are beautiful. The link was given to us by “ichigogirl” think I spelled that right, they have some cute stuff.
I have sewn many styles of clothing, prefer to do solids colors for myself since I am short and they get more use, have made many christening, communion, wedding, prom dresses and outfits for grandkids and nieces and nephews.
Since last year been a little lazy, had broken kneecap and tibia, have bronchitis right now, LOL it is hell to grow old. That is why I have been online so much sharing my sewing information with others.

Oh poor you. I remember my grandma used to say to me “there’s nothing nice about growing old” :-(
Must be really frustrating to get over one illness and then get hit with another, I guess we’ve benefited on this site a lot though as it’s meant you’ve had time to answer all our pesky questions. Hope it won’t mean you deserting us once you’re fit and well again!
You’re very good, sewing for others. I’m afraid that apart from 1 or 2 attempts, I’ve been very greedy and only made things for myself, though I have promised to make a pair of summer trousers for my partner if I can find a suitable pattern. Hopefully making clothes for men won’t be too much different from making them for women, I’m assuming the main principles will be the same.

Hello, I love the Blue Velvet dress you posted!!!!! This one does not have the sweetheart neckline but reminds me of the dress, # 5335 : http://leko-mail.net/mod-e.php?t=0&a=1&n=17
Hope you have a great day!! Hugs Patti

It was absolutely stunning wasn’t it? Oh to have the creativity to design things like that! I tend to just steal ideas from others :-) The velvet blouse I made was the exact same colour but I couldn’t work out how to capture it on my camera when I took pictures of it.
There’s some gorgeous patterns on the link you gave me and you’re right, 5335 is pretty similar.
What kind of clothes do you like making?
Have a lovely day.
Stephanie
