    oh oh !!! another change here at burdastyle, and may i say NOT a good one. what is going on with this site??nothing seems to work anymore, and there is not even an answer coming from the team, when you have a problem. i miss the good old times, when you helped me so quickly.

      I know! It seems kind of weird with all of the changes and I’ve been getting a lot of emails saying the same thing. I do miss working for the members and wish I still could but I guess the change was necessary for the company. Hopefully they will have things back on track soon. They are really good people just struggling to make it work. Maybe they will want me back one day to help take care of us members.

      For now you can come see me at Kollabora.com. It’s still in it’s beta stages so please be patient and give us your input so we can build the site to meet your standards. In my eyes it’s the best standards to build from.

      Again, Ralf, Thank you so much for voicing your opinion in the changes. You’ve been a great friend!

      That’s correct, Jodi. It’s not a bad thing and I’ve known since before David left that my time would be short. Burdastyle is making some changes, and are trying to keep the members in mind as they do so.

      However, I am working for Nora at Kollabora and helping out there. I hope you and I will stay in touch here on Burdastyle and on Kollabora and Facebook. Just contact me anytime.

    Thank you for all you do!!! I know that certain things are out of your hands, but just know you are appreciated. Not only a great Moderator but a great thoughtful person.

    A couple years ago when I was on here a few spammers sent over 400 to my emails, that is why my Contact button is shut off and I get so hyper when I see a spammer.

    I am hoping that their Web Links they are leaving are being blocked as well as their profiles being blocked by the tech guys !!!

    Profile Accounts should require more information than the Spammers are submitting. E.G. Skill Level, Sewing Machines.

    I am on the this site several times during the day, due to 3 leg surgeries in last 9 months kind of a captive Burdastyle member LOL. Sort of healing Therapy helping others with sewing issues and learning about new styles and ideas from other members.

      That’s awful about the 400 or so spam mails. I’m not too thrilled with them either, especially when I hear about them sending spam through our contact links. In the past four weeks I have had to go through and eliminate over 900 spam memberships. It is just crazy how many show up sometimes.

      I agree that there should be more to the member sign up. I’m not positive on all of the changes that are taking place but I do know that more spam blocking processes are being put in place. Hopefully it will take care of a lot of them.

      I want you to know that I really do appreciate your kindness for helping to eliminate the spam. I sometimes miss a few, so it’s always good to have another set of eyes out there.

      Well, I have had a great weekend. I spent Saturday afternoon being lazy for the first time in a while. Then went to a friends Birthday/Grand opening Party. She just opened a all natural pet store. So cute!

      I do hope your recovery is going well. Surgery is such serious business for the body. Also, if you get bored you can always write to me. I quite enjoy hearing from you. Try to stay warm! Hug to you too!

      The tech guys actually handle all of the blacklisted spam that I remove. The information goes on a list that they use to block them further. We use Area 17 for all of our tech help.
      The biggest problem is that the spammers just use a different email address and name, so they just open a new account. I should send them invoices for their advertising and see what happens. LOL

      I’m pretty sure you are back to being Ralf Schmitz now. If for some reason your personality changes to kim charest again let me know and I will try to coax you back to you. LOL

      None of your information was revealed in the switch up, so you should be safe on that aspect.

    Hi! I saw your message on Roisins wall about members who critizise based upon the look/body shape of the person modelling the clothes. Usually they don’t leave any comments, they simply rate the project with a 1, efficient enough. So clicking the lightning bolt won’t do any difference (when there ARE mean comments about the model I always click it). What would help is to remove the rating system and simply install a thumbs up instead. That way (if you want popular projects to be highlighted somehow) the rating would be based upon what people like, and not on what people don’t like/feel offended by for whatever reason. 20+ thumbs up would be a great indicator of a great project. And jealousy wouldn’t show in the rating, at least not the way it does now. Another thing, the rating system is totally faulty. If a project is rated with a 4 by one person, and you give it x number of 5’s, it’s still rated as a 4. Which is very unfair, to be honest. I can’t believe the team just leaves it like that (I first reported it a couple of years ago). Thanks for being an involved and active moderator, btw!

      Yes, I remember the suggestion about the rating system and am not sure where we are at with that at the moment. I will raise the question again on your behalf and see what the issue was. When I get an answer I will let you know.

      Most of the time, when a member discovers that a project is offensive to others, they will remove it on their own.
      This is truly a great community to be a part of and the members are some of the kindest people I know, (including you). My job here is “dream job” simply because of the members. Thanks for being vigilant and alerting me to the items I may have missed.

      Noted. At this time I am not able to censor material as such as in this project. I agree that it may not be in the best taste and it is offensive to some, but can not withdraw it from the projects line up at this time.

    Others and myself have requested a feature for automatic HTML or HyperLinks, Codes, Tags added to other areas of Burdastyle, e.g. Discussions, no information responses that we are able to use( they only seem to work on this site when projects are added). Just want to copy and paste sewing information in order to help others. They are only on Customer Support?
