Thank you soo much for your kind words on my mini tophat :) I created a kind of pattern for it just basic circles one with the centre cut out and theother the size of the cut out centre and a long rectangle, I cut out fabric in these shapes:) slighlty larger though and then hand sewing was the main part of it, very tricky and then left it kind of open and put my carboard pattern in the pieces to make it nice and stiff :). when I make other ones I will try and upload a tutorial if you would find it useful :)

hi seggle! thanks for the compliment on the rings, though i admit my picture doesn’t really show them very clearly…the process is really simple. i basically got all the leftover threads and tiny scraps of fabric from a project, and laid them all out straight in one strip. then i took one of the longer threads, or just thread from the spool, and started to wrap the pile around the middle so it doesn’t come apart. when it’s long enough to go around my finger, i wrap it into a circle, then keep wrapping a little so the scraps stand up. and that is the end. it kind of looks feathery. i tried it with some of my hair after a haircut, but it just looked kind of odd. i dunno. sorry for the long comment, haha… but if that doesn’t make sense then i hope i’ll have time soon for a how-to.
