Thankyou so much for your lovely comment on my blouse! I know you have a blog but would be great if you did add some here so they can link to the pattern that they’re from. Hope to see your blouse if you do get around to it :)

Hi Hannah!
Yup, I will post my blouse when it’s finished
yours looked so great I had to start mine. My pieces are all cut out, however I had an iron-on interfacing disaster – the cheap stuff I bought wrinkled and fell off of my fashion fabric when I picked it up off of ther ironing board :(! I had to rush out and but some more from a department store in town (where I also picked up some pretty hexagonal buttons for it too). Hopefully I will get it finished tomorrow :)

My blouse has been lying around unfinished :(!
I should’ve fitted it better – because the neck opening is too small for me (boo!). So… I need to unpick the back facing, open up the felled shoulder seams and re-fit it (& cut a new wider back-neck facing). Then if I can sort out the tension-problems on my machine I can finish it at last & post pictures.

Things I MUST do: (1) Finish working on the tracing, scanning and “attempting” to grade it up to my szie for the vintage McCalls Pattern 8332 that I bought ages ago on eBay (LOL!) and if I cannot get my head around it – then use my 14+ (and still buying more every week eek!) collection of sewing/drafting books to make my own pattern from scratch in the same silhouette/style as that dress. (2) Start posting on my blog: Sew, Incidentally…. (3) Sew the ‘Marie Skirt’ and add the pockets that Sunnie designed (here) for which I have already drafted pattern pieces (pocket, lining, facing & interfacing) in my size! (4) Get/buy/steal/purloin some scraps of wool fabric to make my tailor’s ham + seam roll with. (5) Trace the pattern for the trousers/pants no. 105 in the 06/2010 issue of ‘Burda Style’ magazine (Image 1, Image 2, and Image 3) and make them up in calico (muslin) for fitting – then make them in the fab pale beige cotton fabric I bought recently for 50pence per metre!! ($0.73 USD / €0.60 EUR) – ready to wear for work in Summer (well for what little summer we eventually get blessed with in the UK that is hehehe). (6) Stop buying sooooo much fabric my stockpile (aka stash) is sooo high, but they are all soo pretty I juts have to buy them when I find them LOL ;)
Wish me luck!!

Reminder to myself… I really, really, really need to finish tracing the vintage ‘McCalls Pattern 8332’ I’ve bought so that I can make my own version of Maryy’s ‘Black with open back’ dress (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/black-with-open-back)!!!

Hi Seemane – thanks for your comment on my purple pleat dress. I didn’t meant it to be 80’s like, but I heard the 80’s fashion is coming back – so.. yay! :) Good luck with your sewing

Hi! Yes, the Anna-top fits a b-cup. I have 32B, and with a bra with a little padding it’s quite a tight fit. My measurements for comparison, in case they are of any help: 84cm bust, 67cm waist and 90cm hips, bra size 70B = 32B. Do upload it if you grade it, maybe you or I can make a multi-size one from them both combined? Good luck :-)! /Karin

Thank you so much for those extra tips FBeenz re: your great How-To :-How To Make A Pleater Board , it’s much appreciated :)

Thank you for your comment for my “Pleater Board”. You can use cereal carton, manilla folder or cardstock. The poster board I used is not too thick. The ghost lines help make the job a lot easier. I would suggest that you draw lines in pencil before scoring them. And the other suggestion is to use only one inch marks instead of alternating with one inch followed by half an inch. Good Luck with your project.
