Hi sarsaparilla,Thanks for letting me know, it’s happened before it seems to take a few hours to show, I will email Alden and see what happens. I basicaly said for you to email TalkToUs@SingerCo.com they gave me all the details for my 1937 15K just by my giving them my serial number. Also I think there is a place here in Canberra that does all the old spare parts, next time I am up that way I will check it out and let you know. Have a great weekend Jude

how do you do your buttonholes without the function on your machine? mine is also about 50 years old and doesn’t have this option, but i love buttons!

Thank you. I always feel so miserable when I cries over unsuccesful sewing projects. I have established that the less problematic a garment is to sew, the more likely it is that I’m going to wear it (I’m not sure if I wrote the correct English…).

Hi There Sarsaparilla. Thank you for your kind comments about my wedding gown. You’re off to such a beautiful beginning with your sewing, so I’m sure you’ll be completely confident when it’s time to make your own dress. But, like you mentioned, you hopefully won’t be taking on that task for a long time. There’s so much to do before getting married, especially for creative people. I traveled a lot, and went to college, and learned a lot of hard lessons before walking down the aisle. Take advantage of your years of freedom.

hello there – thanks for replying:) i cut the Franzi out in the smallest size but it was still too big – it seems like i could leave out the side seams & it would fit so i might try something like that (& alter the armholes a bit?!) i don’t know! i made it in denim but it turned out a bit stiff – i might try one in cotton of linen so it hangs better – i like wearing vests like that open too. your page is very inpirational especially for someone so young!!! good luck at college – i’m a scientist too (environmental) is great:)

Hi! I’m glad you liked my ‘classy dress’ haha. And spotlight is where I got the fabric! And yes I do agree, they have heaps of cheap stuff at the moment! When I bought that fabric I bought 2 other gorgeous prints! I can’t wait to make them into something. I think I might be a bit too obsessed with florals at the moment… then again – I don’t think you can be too obsessed with florals :) Thanks for the lovely comment!

Hello Sarah, glad you like the earthy colours of my T. top. Looking through your stuff I’m blown away. I especially like your Home Ec. dress, which looks fantastic on you. Hope you find a reason to wear it soon if you haven’t already. Good luck at Uni this year.

Thanks pixielink! I just made a shirt using your kimono tee, and I have another cut out – it’s my new favourite pattern :)
