sabine commented on the forum topic Ikea Cutting Table?

Ikea has a system where you choose a table top and the feet for it. There are also round extenders… Check their website in your area, under office, I reckon.

I think the OP means the poppets as seen on craftster.org – check in the toy and dolls forum.

sabine commented on the forum topic Pre-shrinking fabric

One other note (no edit button?)

If you’re really worried, wash it twice, then it should really not shrink again.

sabine commented on the forum topic Pre-shrinking fabric

    Here’s a story: I have pre-washed a fabric at 40ºC and made pyj…

sabine commented on the forum topic Back piece too small?!

You can let out the seam allowance that is there, or insert godets at the side seams. But it will probably look best with a new piece.

That’s an important bit to know, Nehmah. Bad support is the worst, especially when the software is a bit more expensive. Too bad, really.

sabine commented on the forum topic Burda Premium seam allowances

    In german, nouns are capitalized.

    Your text says:
“Seam allowances: 2cm for hems and 1,5cm for all other seams and edges.”
I think it means they are included, but it’s not clearly stated.

sabine commented on the article Sewing with Faux Fur

squirrellypoo: If you look at the link I added, you’ll see that it was a scandal last year, where fur was mislabeled.
I did overreact probably, heh. BUT you can’t be too careful these day…

Hm. Well, I’m put off even “faux” (french for fake) fur, because they label dog, cat or fox fur as fake.

Still, your instructions apply to synthetic fur aswell I suppose.
