Thanks for your nice comment on my wall. Yes, I’ve been very busy sewing and I still am. I will soon be posting some creations I made with patterns I created myself…it’s hard work but it’s worth it…Hope you are keeping up the sewing too and will keep us posted…

Thank you so much for your comment on my colourful ruffles top;] BTW the bust part, it’s good when it’s well-matched and tight-fitting, and when there’s elastic band at the bottom. Sew it with the side stitch with the top /leave the upper part/ Then add another stripe of the elastic band to the upper part /you should sew three pieces: underneath bust part, upper part of the top and elastic band/ And voila!:] It’s not difficult, but looks good without any transparent piece. And i’m in love with the vinyl records too:D I found them in the cockloft, and wanted to do sth with them. And as I lokked on my plain wall I immediately decided to hammer some nails, and hang vinyls:D Search for in your cockloft:D Greetings

Hi and thanks for your comment on my friend’s beanie. I had a pattern for a baby’s hat and just made it a bit bigger. It’s 6 pieces and then a band. Very easy!

Thank you for your comments on my sewing room. I had just done spring cleaning that day and thought I should take a picture before I get “creative”. It does inspire me but it has become really difficult to even start a project with most of my time going to work, family, church, and sleep. :o)

Thanks for the kind comment about my 80’s era wedding dress. I also enjoyed learning that the nosey cat in your photo is known as Plonky-Hoof. Right now I’ve got two cattle dogs with pretty good manners, but I’ve had many cats over the years and can totally relate to the plonky-hoof reference! Cats have such a sense of entitlement, but ya gotta love ’em.

Thanks so much! It’s nice that you think I may be able to design my own clothes :) Yeah, you’re right – every time I’m short for fabric, or something goes slightly wrong, I think I get a better idea of how the pattern pieces congeal to form a garment. I’m becoming more and more confident ad-libbing patterns, so I’ve started ignoring the instructions and figuring out how to sew the garment up myself. I think that’s really helped :)
My tropicana dress is my own design, although all it is is two rectangles really! My formal dress is my own design as well, although my mum helped a great deal and we combined several patterns together as well as our own stuff to create it. I’m working on a more complex design atm! Fingers crossed it turns out well!

Hi there – I finally got the pjs completed and my husband can now wear them! Thanks for your help. I definitely need more practice sewing and I’m going to attempt a skirt I think for the fall.

Oh hello! So pleased you got the Pj’s sorted. Good luck with the skirt, I’m sure you’ll be fine however if you make a mistake, don’t worry too much, solving a problem is always a good way to learn :)
