What annoying sewing problem do you wish there was a solution for? Perhaps the budget …

One of my favorite sewing tools is the just-right sewing machine :)

Yes, I think I’m in need of a boost :) I would love to take some sewing classes for meeting new friends and developing new techniques if I have a chance. I learned most of my sewing skills, and developed hobby (many hobbies) for making things (knitting, crocheting, papercrafting, painting/drawing, cooking, etc.) when I was a child. My grandpa was a tailor who made custom menswear-style jackets and trousers, as well as women’s custom apparel. Therefore, every day is a “learning lesson” for me :)

If you like to use oilcloth for your project, you may use a hair-dryer (with very low-heat) for few seconds, or lay it flat under the sun or in a warm room for about couple hours to get wrinkles out. For sewing with oilcloth, let’s try to use a piece of tissue paper on top and bottom of the oilcloth (sandwich the fabric). Enjoy!

what would you make out of oilcloth, that is not a tablecloth, bag or pouch? how about … let’s try to make baby bibs, stockings or book covers. Enjoy & have fun :)

If you like to use linen-fabric for your project, it’s best to iron (remove creases or wrinkles by applying pressure) your fabric both before and after sewing to have a smooth surface …because linen is prone to wrinkling, like cotton-fabric.

What is your favorite fabric to work with? I like cotton which is a natural choice. Cotton is easy to sew and it comes in a great array of colors and prints as well.

…consider where the fabric will be used and how it relates to other fabrics in your projects.
