    My sewing room is temporarily out of order… we had to use it for storage while fixing another room… hopefully I will have it back quickly!

    Ok… I started sewing the McCall’s dress together and boy did I make a big fabric choice boo-boo….. how dissappointing that is! Guess I’ll be starting over …pattern choice too! UUGGH!

      Well, got started yesterday on the new dress…. Vogue 1182 designed by Kay Unger…. choice of fabric is a chocolate colored monece satin with heritage trimming on the collar. So far, so good! :)

    I’m pretty pleased with my new green suit… I haven’t sewn something this nice in a long time! Now I am working on some tailoring of a dress I started last year and have also just cut out some pattern pieces for another dress that I’m hoping to wear to a benefit dinner (black tie affair). The dinner is not until Oct. 23, so I will have lots of time to be patient and take my time and fine tuning it… :) The new dress is McCall’s 8268 E… sleeveless “wiggle” dress in a brown lightly striped rayon fabric… I liked how it draped on the mannequin… hope it looks as good on me when I’m done! LOL

    The 20 minute skirt…. the first project I have made in my new sewing room! The only thing I am missing is a table to cut on…. so for now I will run up & down the stairs to use the kitchen table for that…. good excercise! LOL

    The sewing room is finally finished! I still have to look at some tools that are being stored in there but at least I can sew now… HOORAY!!

    I have been working on a dress… it should have been finished by now but I have been helping with the basement redo so that I can have a sewing room! Will post as soon as it is finished….hopefully soon!
