Oh, those vintage patterns are so interesting! Old issues had much more patterns than the new ones, but they were made for one size (they were not all the same size, though). Burda changed its concept during ‘90ies and started making less models per issue, but they were all graded to sizes 36-42. I don’t have a favorite year, but I’ve noticed that old and retro patterns are repeated in new issues.

Hi. Finally saying thank you for you nice comment on my geometric dress. Yes, I used a pattern for it. It comes from the Diana Magazine I bought for the first time to check it out.

thanks for your comment on my sabrina… yes, it does actually stay up without straps, for us smaller chested girls, at least. but i think it also has something to do with the heavier weight of this fabric, and the seams i did (sewn at 5/8, turned under on each side, and topstitched on both sides). it kind of made its own boning…

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my Steffi jacekt :) My Mom is kind of sewing expert, so we didn’t need the instructions ;) I’m very glad I had my mom for help.
Have you got any problems with the Steffi jacket? Maybe I could help.

Bon courage! ManteauetRobeEnfant

Hi, thanks for your kind comment! I will try to post better pictures soon. I think it’s Simplicity 5621, view B, which i bought several years ago. The pattern has a front center seam & there are 2 horizontal darts right across the center seam at the bust, which I have never seen before. It was nice & easy to sew.

Hi Peaudane. Thank you for nice comments concerning my jackets.
I really love corduroy with crazy/funny prints. I also love retro style.
I would like to have much more time to realize my many ideas.

thanks there! And – without searching in my shelfs first – it was eiter Jan or March 1973. I bought one of them on ebay and it accidentally had the others instructions and pattern sheets in it as well : )
1972, 73 and 74 were very good years for the burda magazine, if you ask me. some really timeless interesting patterns.
