I have you to thank, really, for the inspiration to even make pants for my brother. I was scared of messing up the fly or making the pants too small. They actually fit him really well and he loves them :)
Did that ductape dressform work well by the way? and what did you use to fill it with? I’ve been thinking of making one myself after seeing a how to on youtube.

Hi Oodko, thank you very much for the nice comment on my husband’s jacket. He’s very happy with it and that makes me happy too :) By the way, your jochen pants just make me want to sew a pair for my husband. Never made men’s pants before, I should try!

my friends are really into Project Runway and they tell me that I would really love it, but I have never seen it. Pants would be a good skill to have (under my belt – oh dear), I have really long legs and personally tailored pants would make life a little sweeter I do believe…

Hey – glad to see another guy who is sewing. I love your profile. Well done on the chinos; I am jealous – I have to get the courage up to make some pants. I’m kinda of curious how you got into sewing – did you or do you have friends that helped you into it? how long have you been sewing?

cool! Basically my US navy sailor trousers are worn out after 12 years of good services, I will copy them ( possibly risking a martial law court case if i post the pattern, breaching the navy copyrights ehehe Obama said that he will close Guantanomo Bay if he is elected so I wait and see) :) ; i will draft many sizes; they were a bit too large for me but are the size of a slim man; I am looking forward to seeing what you will post next! Take care!

hey Oodko,
Thanks! I am looking forward to seeing what you create next!I wonder how you would use your graphic design skills to make your garments!printing your handmade tee-shirts?possibilities are endless;I have always liked the Jochen pattern, and the trousers suit you perfectly. I don’t know if it is your cup of tea but I am drafting sailor trousers both for men and women, or would it be your style? I like androgynous clothing,Keep well and busy!

thanks for your sweet comment on my dress. i attempted to make a pair of pants this weekend and failed miserably, so you’ve got every right to be proud of your creation no matter how long it took to make. :) i’m really looking forward to seeing what your next project will be!

You’re more than welcome. I really am very impressed. Don’t worry too much about getting faster. My current record is five months on a single skirt. Beat that! I look forward to seeing/admiring whatever else you come up with.
