thanks for your lovely comment ! I applied for an advanced diploma in fashion design but they said that my marks from my application were not high enough so I was getting tested for my forth choice which was a certificate IV in fashion practices which wasn’t really what I was aiming for so yeah =\ maybe a diploma at INSEARCH might sound better

it was surprisingly really easy to do!! for the bottom, i just cut a piece of square fabric then stapled underneath, for the back, i removed the old fabric and used it as a guide for cutting the fabric, i’m pretty sure the same method could be used for other chairs! what a way to save money in this economy!

Hello! Yuzawaya is an enormous craft store with several chains around Tokyo. The one I always visit is the Kichijoji chain, it’s about 8 stores of craty things with 2 of the floors for fabrics. I’ve never heard about Kinkado, do they have nice stuffs there? Maybe I should try to visit it :)

Thanks! I got the fabric at Purl fabrics in NYC (they are online too) they have great stuff. It is the first time I’ve made a dress, but luckily I work here at BurdaStyle so there were lots of people willing to help me. I love the fabric choice on your pillow and bag, it’s great!

Thanks for the compliment on my “Death Jester” costume. Also, sorry for taking so long to get back to you on the collar. I used really thick floral wire and made small narrow pockets in the collar and just fed the wire into the pockets. It made it where I could mold in any position. Maybe I will wear it for another event.

Hey thanks for your comment! I didn´t make any special undergarments. Its only the pattern of Burda. Only the corsage which I wear didn´t come from the pattern. ;-)

I live in Higashi-Yamato area (it’s just on the outskirt of Tokyo, near Tokorozawa) for about 7 months now. I kinda like it here, the downtown area is a bit too busy for me :)

Hehe, thanks a lot for the video on how to tie the fishermens pants! I tried it and now definitely know they’re too big, because the fabric on the front crosses so much that it looks still very stupid :D I have to take them in at the sides I think!

Hi there, I haven’t had any probs with the Ikea fabric. I always do a shrink test on all fabrics and so far so good! I like the stiffness of it to give solid shape to some styles. Good luck with your ikea creations!

Ahh, hello again, i just read the comment you left on my other bag, with as you said, and i must agree.. the striking colour scheme.. haha.. And yes, my nana does know that i cut up her tea towels.. In fact, that was the reason she gave them to me, well, i asked for some to use for my sewing, and she had plenty that were never going to be used… waste not want not!

Hello there, good to see another Aussy on the site! I’m Renee, you left me a comment on a red and green birdy bag thing that i made.. haha. Yeah, i love to use recycled fabric, coz you can find so many good prints or just textured fabrics. And also, the older the fabric generally the better the quality! (As long as it’s been looked after of course). Um , you asked if it had a concealed pocket behind the picture.. no it doesn’t, but that is a good idea! I did put a pocket on the inside though :) Ren.
