Hi! The pattern I used for Emily’s peacoat was Vogue #7979. It’s currently out of print, so can’t find it in stores. I was a very fortunate Hancock Fabrics worker who snatched a copy before it was thrown away. Vogue has it listed for sale on their out of print patterns site, but I’m not sure if you can pick what size you want. Here is that link:

Hope you can find it!

Hey Regarding your jersey questions, the main things would be to use the right stitch – if you have a machine with stretch stitches use that, otherwise use a slight zig-zag. The best thing to do is probably to practice the stitches on some scraps of the same fabric before you start on the real thing – that’s something i always do when i’m sewing with a new fabric. You’ll always have scraps left from cutting out the pieces, so it’s not a biggie. Make sure you remember which direction you’re testing – test with and against the stretch. Good luck!!

I looooove gabardine. It’s pretty easy to work with, but it frays. It also wrinkles when crunched up for long periods of time.
