Thanks for your comments on my skirts. I am lucky I have an Ikea about half an hour away, so can have a good mooch about the fabric section whenever i want. I was determined I was going to make something that I would actually wear (unlike earlier tara and drawstring skirt – destined to sit in my wardrobe to remind me of my mistakes!) Your sunflower is gorgeous – I only have 3 growing this year, but one is very nearly ready to flower

Thank you for the lovely comment on my jj blouse. I have to say, I am a bit obsessed with thrift stores! I don’t get to trawl them much lately because I’ve been working 6 days a week :0( I think I’ve had some really lucky finds in the past though so my stash will keep me going a bit longer. There is nothing like finding a bargain.

Hi there, thanks for leaving a comment on my wall It is something I am still working on, getting the right balance of interfacing, I was not happy with my brown cord bag, loved the shape but was too floppy With my basket bags they have been made in quilting cotton, so I have used lightweight iron on interfacing then another layer of heavier sew in inrfacing, seems to give a sturdier bag, but not too rigid if you know what I mean

Hi, I’m Renee, i made the red and green bag with the ‘’calender cloth’’ of the birds and things… (Sorry it took me so long to reply, i didn’t actually realise that people had left comments… i was expecting it to come up that i had a message or something… ) Well, calender cloth isn’t anything special, it is literally what it sounds like, it is a calender, that is made out of cloth material. A lot of people buy them as souvenirs when in a foreign country, you can just buy them… Like i might have said.. this particular one was one i found at my nana’s and was from the year 2002 ! Talk about hoarding… but it turned out in my favour… and also in my friend Salli’s who owns the bag now! Thanks for your comment! Ren.

Thanks for the pat ;) Satin is done, but it’ll not happen so fast again I think ;) Back to the simple fabrics :) I’m curious about your totes!
