    oh i definitely suggest making that simplicity bag! you’re right, the picture on the pattern does NOT do it any justice. I had to see past the tacky quilting fabric and imagine it in that lime/brown corduroy in order to convince myself to buy it, haha. And as for lengthening straps, it’s a must! It seems that these so called “shoulder bags” could only fit over a tiny person’s skinny shoulders, lol. I always have to add like 4 inches! It’s always nice to see other bag ladies on burdastyle, its a different kind of art than garments. Yours are lovely, i like the pink/black hearts one. the space print is cool too. I’ve put bags aside lately since my sister found out she’s pregnant (my first niece or nephew!!) and I’ve been sewing baby booties and little onesies and stuff like that. happy sewing!! -Krista
