I saw your explanation of the teflon sheet thing in regards to the scrap thread technique, and I took a look at the links as well. Nifty! I had no idea such a thing was possible but it seems right up my alley:)

My goodness! You found the elusive sliders! That is the style and size variation I was hoping for. I’ve been out of town over the week-end, and found something there that sort of worked (they look more like belt buckles). I’ve already put the ties together using what I bought over the week-end. But I’m so delighted you found a source for exactly what I was looking for. Those slides are wide enough to accommodate thicker fabrics, which is what I need. And I do plan to continue making bow ties for gifts and for future donations. Thanks so much!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for responding to my call for sliders:) Yes, I have tried bra strap sliders, which I purchased online. But I’ve been unable to find them as large as I need. The pattern calls for 7/8″ × 1/2" and the largest I’ve found were 3/4 inch. But they just didn’t do the trick. Anyway, thanks again for the link. I’ll keep it for future reference.

Hi! Thanks for your compliment on my new blue dress :) The dress has no top layer, it’s just a cotton-silk blend (whole dress)
