Hi Sarah, You mentioned recently that your husband found a video on YouTube on how to read and understand pattern instructions. I am struggling a bit with the yoke back, yoke front, interfacing whatnot – would you mind letting me have the link please? By the way, your little toddler’s clothes are very sweet. I wish I could do that! Many thanks, Frenchpea

Thanks Sarah! Yeah I think I’m a fan of the heavy fabric too, at first I thought it was too much, but when I put it on it I realised it would hang fine rather than stick out everywhere!

Hi Sarah, Thanks for your wonderful comments on the baby clothes I made, I’m glad you liked them. The hat did come out well, that was alot of top-stitching practise for me! Haha :) Next time I make it I will try and make it reversble as it is fully lined inside so it wouldn’t be dificult, then it coul dmatch two items :) Happy Sewing xx

Hello Mcloughlinsarah! Thanks for the compliment on my baby layette! It’s nice to hear someone else is using the same pattern, it kind of feels like you’re working on the same project together. LOL By the way, I really like your creations and the fabrics you use are all so nice! I look forward to seeing the results of your layette pieces! Keep sewing!

Thanks for your compliments on my brahs! I do not sell them, because I make them fit to my size spefically at the moment. I am my worst critic, never think it is good enough for others….Perhaps in the future I will make them for others and sell them.

Hello Sarah, thanks for your compliment. This was my favorite non-wearable project. The top is more than 30 years old. Even our older grandchildren know the stories. Nehmah

Hi Mcloughlinsarah, glad that you like my cloth pads! Yes, I think they are cool too, and I never thought that they could be that comfortable as well. After using them, I don’t want to use the disposable ones anymore :)

the oldest 4 are in school fulltime(the oldest my stepson is in HSLOL) and i have the youngest 3 with me 24/7… i volunteer every tuesday(or try to atleastLOL) with baby’s best chance-a pregnancy outreach programme- in town(we live 50 kms out into the boonies), usually i just take the baby with me while hubby keeps the lil girls on the farm with him to “help out” with the cattle and such(we have a pet cowLOL), sometimes i take all three, depending on what is planned for that specific day at outreach programme. and then every thursday i take all three little ones to a mother goose programme(i stay with them but the kids are occupied with crafts, colouring, reading etc.. while i get a nice visit in( and a much needed break from MY day to day HAHA) with a few other friends who go to the programme as well.

Thanks for the kind words regarding my pillowcase dresses! Your comment was funny about running out of pillowcases. But I bought these at the thrift store… plus I’ve now realized it is late in the season here for the style, so I’ll be trying new things! :)
