That’s a really stunning dress, although I think it maybe made from a dark-blue chambray fabric, rather than normal (or light weight) denim perhaps? It looks to me like they have serged (overlocked) the raw edges of the fabric on the ruffles rather than baby-hemmed them.

GinaSophia made her own variation of the JJ Blouse – and it had a very similar style of dramatic ruffles to the dress you have admired on JLo :)
