Thank you for the comment on my anorak :). I wrote something about the pattern on the page with the creation. I love your creations – especially the bag!

Hi, yes, I have some tips to make the circle skirt from Generation T:
1) Cut the waistband about 1/2 of the width recommended in the book
2) After you have cut the skirt pieces from the fabric and laid them out in a circle, they may actually form more of a rounded square, so you can cut the ends again to make a better circle. Or not – the less circular your skirt the more hankerchief-like the bottom will be.
3) The shirts you use can be smaller than the ones recommended in the book. S/M unfitted shirts will work fine.
Have fun! Your creations are fabulous!!!
Cheers!

Oh, thank you so much for the offer!!! I am sure I will have some question being new to both sewing in general and to sergers. But I am also sure (like I have been from the start) that I am going to love it for what it will allow me to do – namely, to sew with knits and all kinds of fabrics, since I wanted to sew to begin with in order to get away from the Walmart stuff! ;-) I know also that I will be happy to receive advice and feedback from sewers, who are more experienced than myself, and your help will be priceless as I love love love most of your stuff (I haven’t gotten to the older items yet, as I am going backwards down the projects on BurdaStyle and it’s a slow process taking into account all the other things I need and want to do ;-)). Anyway, I wish you and yours a very nice holiday season as well! Merry Christmas and let the New Year bring a lot of time and imagination to you, so that we could enjoy seeing the wonderful projects!!!
