Thanks for the comment : ) I live in Texas; there are quite a few African shops here so its not too hard to come by the fabrics.

Hi Lee,
hope you will enjoy your stay in Barcelona. About your question you probably would find some little stores around the city where to buy fabrics, but the best one for me is RIBES & CASALS.
They’ve got two shops very close one of each other, I give you the addresses of both and the website in case you want to have a look before to arrive.
First shop: Pau Claris 79 street. 08010 Barcelona Second shop: Roger de Lluria 7 street. 08010 BarcelonaThese streets are in the city center so it will be easy for you to arrive with the tube.
You will find lots of fabrics, also they have an outlet where to find a really good bargains.
If you walk along these streets you will find also more stores where to buy and enjoy time having a look.
Hope this information was helpful.
Best regards, Sonia

Hi Leeavent!
You emailed me regarding fabric shops in bcn. I would be very happy to show you around, I see you have also been in contact with Minimontse, perhaps we could all go together with the other girls in the Burdastyle sewing group? Look forward to meeting you.
Happy sewing! Zoe x

I´d love to get together! I don´t know anyone here, I´m actually here to work on my Spanish skills.
I don´t have a phone here, but my email is missavent@hotmail.com. What´s yours?

Hi there! thanks for the comment you left about my african dress. Well I am a beginner and I haven’t started using any patterns yet. You’re going to think this is crazy but I usually just draw a few lines on the fabric to guide me prior to cutting the fabric and although it’s a very risky way of doing it, I can’t be bothered with patterns at the moment! I think I’ll learn the whole pattern thing later but right now I just kinda go for it, which is why, unfortunately, I always make a lot of mistakes when I sew. The finishing touches are never great! I’m glad you liked it though! You also have some lovely creations there. Keep it up x
